Sit, Stay, Treat

Breaking Stigmas,
Building Bonds
Our Mission
Sit, Stay, Treat began from our passion for dog training & keeping families together.
While working at an animal shelter in 2016, we spoke with families needing help with their pets often. We began noticing that a lot of people reaching out to give up their animals was due to behavioral concerns and a lack of funds to be able to get help. After seeing this be a consistant issue, we knew we had to help so Sit, Stay, Treat was born.
Due to the constant need for dog training & lack of funds leading to people choosing to give up their pets, we keep our prices low! Our main goal is always to help people & their dogs. You'll noticed our prices may be quite a bit lower than our competitors & that is purposeful so low income individual, families & their pets can get the assistance they need.
Shelter & rescue dogs continue to be a passion for us so we not only volunteer on the weekends with shelter dogs, we also offer a discount if you adopt. If you've adopted your dog, just show proof & you will get a free training session or one training class free out your 6-week course ($30.00 value).

“We rescued two lab mixes at age 1 1/2 years old. They are sweet boys, but are reactive to other dogs. They are now 3 1/2 and we’ve tried multiple modalities to help reduce this. We finally reached out to a trainer. Carmen has been so wonderfully patient and has provided numerous techniques to apply which, over time and repetition, will help to reduce their reactivity. We practice these lessons together, then she writes up our training session of what we practiced and what to continue to try. This is so helpful. All of this is done with only positive reinforcement.”

“My Frenchie and I attended our first behavior classes with Sit, Stay, Treat. My dog got a lot of individual help, which I appreciated. Our instructor was patient with all of the dogs, and I feel that she has a lot of experience and likes dogs. We have taken two classes, and he is not fast to learn things, but we have many things to practice when we can take our time and reinforce.”

“Carmen was very pleasant to work with. She took time to work with each dog and owner on each lesson. The classes were interactive and she had follow up emails to help remind you what you had down during class. I would recommend her classes.”
